concept: a show like ramsay's kitchen nightmares, but about software instead

"i'm at spunkchute, a SaaS company that owes $2 million to AWS and is on the brink of closure”

"oh my [bleep] god. the main database server is running Ubuntu 8.04 and has two backdoors and a coin miner. SHUT. IT. DOWN.”

Sure, you can put Arch's and Fedora's package managers side by side and argue back and forth about which one is better. I just don't think that's an apt comparison

I have a question regarding and / / .

I need to come up with an image description for the attached image for my job. I'm at a complete loss. This is alt text nightmare mode.

Are there established methods for describing complex figures such as this one?

I would be very happy about some input from people who actually need image descriptions.

Of course, on the artist's Facebook post for this comic, there is a reply guy saying "Well actually, the term gaslighting wasn't about gas lighters..."

I asked my good friend @david_chisnall if there is a commonly known slang to describe a massive propagated error. He replied with one word - and nailed it:

“Windows”.

To be honest, “x86” would also be a good answer. However, a more accurate way to describe x86 is as a “pile of horrible, independent ideas forming a huge, unmaintainable mess”.

- Do you play any musical instruments?
- I play the Unicode.
- Huh? The Unicode? What's that?
- It's a kind of string instrument.

Skill issue.

If you tell your friends about Mastodon, you’re technically an ambassador of the federation.

David Chisnall (*Now with 50% more sarcasm!*)

I remember in the mid ‘90s, Bill Gates said something like ‘if the car industry had improved at the same rate as the computer industry, cars would go at a thousand miles per hour and get thousands of miles per gallon’ and someone at a car manufacturer replied that their customers are quite glad that the cars don’t crash several times a day.

I am starting to wonder if Tesla is an elaborate piece of performance art in support of this joke.
