You, yes _you_ who work in a large company that uses curl in your products (that's most of you). Go explain to your manager that <explanation involving AI and security threats> the curl open source project needs good developers pitching in some of their time for a little while.

I mean it. Ask if _you_ can be that person.

@troed Keep in mind that - as described in The Mythical Man-Month - suddenly throwing human resources to a project doesn't necessarily help to reach its milestones.

@buherator Yeah I was contemplating adding "... but only if you know that you'll be self-sufficient and not needing time from current maintainers to get up to speed" but ... that's a luxury issue to be dealt with later if someone actually manages to get the approval.

@troed If you could pour the 100 best sw engineers in the world to a similar case that wouldn't be effective either (the current management tier is likely insufficient to handle the numbers).

The initiative is good though, it's just easy to have the wrong expectations about short-term results.
