I propose the following constitutional amendment -- people who have never worked a minimum wage job in this country for at least TWO YEARS of their life are INELIGIBLE for ANY ELECTED POSITION. πŸ“œβœ’οΈ

@codinghorror CEOs often work for minimal wage for tax reasons around here. But even that case is much better than simply asking your billionaire friends to push literal peanuts your way along with a job contract 2 years before you run for office.

@codinghorror Why not just use sortition like we do for juries.

We already have incompetent politicians with no experience or understanding of the areas they are responsible for.

Random citizen selection can’t be any worse.
