@buherator Oh cool I was looking for a better hex editor on Linux that would let me paste text as hex data rather than as ASCII text. Let me go and oh it's terminal based nevermind :(

I’ve recently been trying ddhx when needed, and it seems like a really good base with features coming out semi regularly. But I don’t live in a hex editor *too* extensively recently, so it’s hard to evaluate/learn it properly
@buherator It's not a clipboard issue. Okteta has the right GUI design, but pasting into the hex region will instead paste it into the ASCII region, which is a known limitation. GHex doesn't have this problem but is too GNOME to be a usable program. And nearly everything else is either bitrotted away from neglect or wildly over-engineered.
@buherator yeah sorry, not going to sell me on a TUI hex editor. I read the instructions, the amount of keyboard commands I would need to memorize made me go NOPE
