The cat's out of the bag! My latest book, "The Secret Life of Circuits", is available in early access:

https://lcamtuf.coredump.cx/blog/secret/

It's the reference I wish I had when I was starting out. Electrons to embedded systems, 290+ color illustrations and 420+ pages of well-explained theory.

@lcamtuf Why does that link redirect me to 🤢 substack? 🤮

@lcamtuf congratulations. You probably know already, but the preordering process through the nostarch website is comically bad. I cannot remember the last time I went through such a 1999-ish purchase flow.

@lcamtuf not really a serious complaint. I was just surprised at the flow. I am looking forward to getting the book.

@lcamtuf That looks so good!

Are there plans for a UK preorder (postage from the US is a lot)?

I'm really not sure I can keep looking at that cover mind :)

@lcamtuf @diyelectromusic No Starch complained multiple times about Amazon selling counterfeits, I had good experience with blackwells.co.uk when ordering overseas tech books from EU.

@lcamtuf
Congrats! This is a reminder that I really should find a library in Europe that carries @nostarch books because shipping + tax from the US is ridiculous

Your book deserve a physical presence on my bookshelves

@lcamtuf nice. Surprised at how low cost the book is especially printed in colour, much cheaper than my last book :) TBH while the UK postage is a lot it's still pretty cheap in the grand scheme of things and I do like to support No Starch.

I'm not sure I understand the PDF thing correctly: Will the other chapters also be available as PDF to those who preorder or will the PDF only ever be the first 9 chapters?
