...why do people keep posting my stuff to HN, I'll never understand. There will rarely be any comments, because most visitors will get a blank HTTP 418 response, close the tab, and move on. If there are comments, they're gonna be about the 418. There might be an upvote or two, but... it is a really poor way of farming karma on HN.

I'd understand if this was the first time someone posted a link. But it isn't their first time, and I mailed them a year or two ago to let them know, in case they haven't noticed.

The HN crowd makes no sense.

@algernon Most people don't have that much attention to detail (e.g. does the link I just posted work?)

@buherator Yeah, but in this case, I told the person before that the links will not work. They are aware.

And... maybe I expect too much from HNers, but from addicted karma farmers, I would expect they look at how many points they score, notice they never get more than 1-2, and then they'd stop wasting their time. But alas, they keep posting.
