@astralia i'm surprised, i unsubscribed from all of them around the year 2000. i think its a terrible way to communicate, web forums is much worse. but it was burning my nerves to get my mailbox full everday. and i'm used to manually review 200 mails every day

@pancake that’s why it depends. Some of them are quite useful, but are more in newsletter format.
I remember the day when I was subscribed to the (full) kernel mailing list and it was awful. Took me months to delete all the emails after unsubscribing…

@pancake @astralia What are your preferred options these days? I still find mailing lists one of the best option out there for messages that 1) need context 2) content is to be looked up in the future.
