Me, my colleagues, and seemingly everyone else in the world who has to use Google products...

"I'm sorry, Dave. I'm afraid I can't do that." anyone?

@Richr And if you *do* use it, you seemingly can not set it to turn off it's extremely irritating and really quite American-service-worker-paid-to-pretend-to-care "personality".

Stop trying to chat at me with banal pleasentries. You're a tool. Do your job and _get out of the way_.

@Richr "Look at me, look at me!!!1". Is there really no way to switch this stuff off?

@Richr Y, I noticed yesterday on google workplace the popup had two options "Accept Gemini" or "Learn More". There was no "do not accept gemini" option. 🤯

@tallison @Richr Everyone wants Gemini. Stock prices told them so.

As a more serious note could we stop treating chatbots as intelligent beings with a concept of reality? Asking a statistical text generator program to "leave you alone" is absurd (it is a program that generates text, it can't stop itself from doing so) and reinforces the ridiculous narrative that these corporations want us to accept.
