What I don't get about the post-election Twitter exodus is that for the masses (ofc not you, dear reader!) somehow it was OK to create content (and thus attract ad money) there, while *after* the owners friend got elected it's suddenly not?

@buherator it’s a critical mass thing… i’ve mostly stopped engaging there a long time ago, short of highlighting other people’s work that i found interesting. I wouldn’t read too much into it.

@FuzzyAleks I'm bringing this up because a clearly visible migration to bsky started as the election got decided. I don't think the timing is a coincidence.

@buherator i don’t think it’s a coincidence either. Rather, that it’s not a meditaded decision. A handful accounts with high number of followers moving gets the ball rolling… hive mind , etc…
