New, by me:
Organizations that get relieved of credentials to their cloud environments can quickly find themselves part of a disturbing new trend: Cybercriminals using stolen cloud credentials to operate and resell sexualized AI-powered chat services. Researchers say these illicit chat bots, which use custom jailbreaks to bypass content filtering, often veer into darker role-playing scenarios, including child sexual exploitation and rape.

LinkedIn appears to have removed today's post about how compromised cloud accounts are being used to power AI sex bots. Apparently the image that got auto-populated in the summary violated their content guidelines. Irony much?
@briankrebs
Almost as soon as Smellmo took over the bird site and increasing number of sex bots or sexually oriented user accts became active. Many posted direct links to pornographic web sites or sites offering sexual services.
I am wondering if he somehow has monetized those accounts. Otherwise he's giving free advertisement.
Aaaand here come the tone police with complaints that I should have posted some kind of NSFW or content warning on my story. I don't think I've ever done that here, and I don't intend to start.
@briankrebs nothing riles me like the tone police.
Thanks for the interesting read @briankrebs - I don’t think the tone police actually read the article. If they actually did, all I can say is “wow”.
@fellows @briankrebs Yeah, this isn't gratuitous. Its a very crucial awareness story written within good journalistic standards.
@briankrebs You're gonna love this. LinkedIn suspended my account after I successfully enabled MFA. The only way I can access my account now is to enter my government ID into a third party they use for verification. I'm going to have to find someone who works at LinkedIn to help me because I sure as h*ck am not doing that.
@Swalsh That's bonkers. LI did something to stop itself from working on Chrome for some reason and only worked on FF for a while. Still don't know what caused that (perhaps one of the many trackers I blocked) but it's suddenly working again on Chrome.
@hacks4pancakes @briankrebs wasn't the "Tone Police" a Beatles song that Cheap Trick covered?
