A downside to akkoma is that there's no native ios client. The akkoma website lists "fedi", however the apple app store indicates fedi is not available in my region (USA)

@jerry some Masto clients work (albeit they don’t handle the Akkoma-specific features, like quotes)

@Tindra yeah, I have the official mastodon client set up and it works for the basics. But like with mastodon, I am finding that using a mobile browser is just fine

@jerry the web interface not keeping my place in the timeline is a dealbreaker for me.

Toot! has been working well for me, and lets me switch between multiple accounts easily.

@Tindra I’m not sure what you mean by “not keeping your place in the timeline” - there are a number of settings that change the behavior of timelines, but not sure if any will address this problem

@jerry when I load new posts, I jump to the newest of them, not stay where I was with them loading above.

But since a multitude of apps exist that are decent solutions, all is well.

@Tindra I see what you mean... The akkoma/pleroma front end doesn't handle streaming updates as well as mastodon's web front end
