I might be wrong, but I think that a serverless infrastructure is better than everyone running their own personal server and that still needs a common cloud to work with.

I'm totally with you about the need of more open-source that run in our local environments. We have very powerful tools in our hands and most of the time it only connects to cloud and most people barely use the power of it just because of this.
