Maybe this is the skeptic in me but this push from C to Rust just feels like a massive cash grab by contractors. Think of all the money that will be spent finding all the C code source, rebuilding their build environments, translating all the code to Rust then supporting it all for decades to come.

Billions will be spent on contractors, only for it to likely get halfway done when the money/will runs out.

@dexter look, they probably tried converting all the COBOL to JAVA 10-20 years ago, and now they're stuck with COBOL and JAVA.
