Interesting initial vhs thing; some nice provocation, some of it a little too preciously staged; great work on the sonic violence of the ending

music in first present Backrooms visit feels kinda hasty / first draft-ish - the inclination is super legible but might have reached for something else on second thought

some excellent pulsing chorused synth pads as this goes on though

alright the idea that a middle aged man thinks his shrink would owe him an apology is indeed an adorably 20 year old conceit

scene after Mary gets Clark’s call is such a 90s music vid

the vibes are interesting - like, for whom has consumer / commercial culture already not been made strange? It probably hits harder for those folks but still fun

a lot of stale sound design which doesn’t feel quite on top of the ways it’s stale ; or isn’t utilizing it intentionally

really shooting for the brown note huh
