A year ago, the motherboard inside my desktop pc melted. It was my only windows device, it was win10, and I already knew win11 was out of the question.

I'd had dualboot with linux #mint for a while, and liked it. (And still do.)
So at first, my new desktop had mint.

But I am not one to settle if there is choice out there. All my games have the first few hours played through a million times with all class/race/whatever combo, but very few I ever finished. 😅

I learned quickly that I wanted #kde, as it worked very nicely with my gaming. And I like its apps.

So I meandered through #Mint and #Debian with KDE, and #popos, and #openSuse, and #Nobara, and #fedora, and finally decided I really wanted a Debian based distro. I have the most experience there, and a lot of software, if there is a Linux version, only has deb. (Yes, I know of #flathub. Flathub is great. But Humble Bundle stuff is not on flathub.)

And while bouncing between distros, (and airing my undecidedness on fedi,) someone told me of #tuxedoos.

Which took me a bit to warm up to, even though it is _exactly_ what I was asking for.
No, no idea why.

But I've had it for a few months now. It's great. 🩶

Stupidly, a few days ago I wanted to play diablo, and the battle net launcher wouldn't install.

So I went back to #Nobara. ... where the installation also broke. Back to #Mint... same there.
So after a night of frantically installing several different OSes only to go back to what I had the day before...

Still like #tuxedoos

Btw, I also love my #nextcloud, because I don't need to worry about losing data while installing, reinstalling and breaking OSes.
One sync of data and one sync of my bookmarks, and everything is back to normal. 🩶
