one thing that is funny (/irritating) is #liberals (of the sort who consistently misapprehend themselves as radicals / leftists) who mistake like basic non-profit (etc) administrative functions for some kind of “liberatory” “activism” kind of thing

similar phenomenon to like “inspirational” “financial literacy” hucksters. if i’m gonna take money advice i’d prefer to hear it from someone who’s down to be frank about the grim realpolitik of resource access under late capitalism. ie. “it does suck, but here’s some options”

it’s not really stuff that i have to encounter firsthand very frequently, but some close friends (who have cultivated careful analyses around political economy) are developing eyeroll strain from dealing with the post-2020 crop of sanctimonious young professional liberals
