been messing around with it a bunch more in recent weeks, & IMHO the regular #Akkoma web interface easily beats #Mastodon & #Firefish for quick & easy navigation of complex conversation threads.

the ability to hover and see what’s being replied to, hover over numbered reply links to view them, & expand a thread without leaving the main TL - really rapid, really efficient.

however - an odd majority of #Akkoma instances have weird, invasively bad aesthetics; & there’s definitely a bunch of them that enjoy serving as havens for edgy bigots who get a big thrill out of doing antisemitism & saying the n-word.

another nice #Akkoma thing is that it has a simple scroll image zoom feature that I haven’t seen on other #fediverse software like #Mastodon #firefish etc - very useful if you’re using it in a small window (ie #vivaldi panel etc)
