I gather that Kevin Dahlgren hasn’t always been a right wing ghoul, and I do think this brief line in the @OregonLive story is salient. The incentive structures of livestreaming, clicks, likes, & virality seem basically reactionary. Anecdotally, I’ve seen this play out time and time again over the past decade in #PDX.

I don’t know if that dynamic is an essential truth, or if it’s specific to platforms owned & operated by inherently right wing (even if not explicitly far-right billionaires like #ElonMusk) capitalist interests. (I kind of suspect the former [s/o Debord])
