Still kinda reeling from the discovery that Abus, the company that makes locks and helmets, is operated by a misogynistic christian cult. “Shaped by christian principles” seems to hide a whole lot of bigotry every time.
I hope Kryptonite don’t have dark secrets, who else will I buy bike locks from if they do 😬
TIL that Christoper Robin, the kid whose teddy bear inspired the Winnie the Pooh stories, was credited with killing 28 Wehrmacht soldiers in the Battle of the Bulge.

Photo Journalist Pete Souza was suspended from X (#Twitter) today for posting a photograph of former President Trump that was published by the Associated Press. The photograph showed Trump's seemingly undamaged ear.
This man has twice worked in the White House as the official photographers of both Ronald Reagan and Barrack Obama. He is a respected professional photojournalist.
Edit: fix

Pretty neat! If you're on mastodon.social (or another server running the latest in-development version of Mastodon), you can go to the Explore page eg. https://mastodon.social/explore/links and view posts that discuss trending news articles (see the "X posts" below the headline link).
The Italian Renaissance style former Wylie Department Store on Buchanan Street in Glasgow. Built in 1889, it was designed by John Hutchison, with details drawn by his assistants Andrew Black and Charles Rennie MacKintosh. MacKintosh may have been responsible for some of the ornate internal plaster column capitals on the ground and first floors. These were still present until at least 2012, and may still be in place.

Hello everyone. I know that these are tough times for many people. If you derive value from the fediverse and have the means to do so, please consider donating to support your instance. Most instances rely on donations to pay the bills (infosec.exchange and friends cost over $3000/month to host).
Instructions on how to donate are generally available on your instance's "about" page (for example: https://infosec.exchange/about)
Also, I firmly believe that access to the fediverse should not be tied to one's ability to pay, and I think it's even more important for those in difficult situations to maintain the social connections that the fediverse provides, so (at least in my view) donations are welcome, but not required in any way.
And for those people who already donate, my hats off to you. You make the fediverse possible.
