I think I can answer by asking you when was the last time you saw something on Facebook or Meta that made you trip over yourself trying to share it because it was so awesome? My opinion is simply this, I quit Facebook and Twitter because they both became super toxic places and that has just gotten worse since I chose to leave. Federating with Meta will invite that same toxicity into the #Fediverse too turn this place into the same thing that made me leave the mainstream in the first place.

Mark and Jack are billionaires that got rich off the backs of their products (i.e. their user base). Now that user base is moving where they can't siphon that data to show ads. So they see their fortunes dwindling, their ways of life ending and they decide to ruin a good thing because they didn't invent it and can't control it. They will try to control it. They think they can because that is what having ridiculously insane amounts of money does to a person's psyche.

I do not support any type of federation with Meta or Nostr or any billionaire driven project attempting to control something they can't.
