@lcamtuf count me among the "activists trying to stigmatize use of LLMs for content creation" although I don't really see myself as an activist in this area, I just call it cringe when I see it
@lcamtuf I think the answer to "is it useful to know?" is "not if you have to ask". if information density is low enough that you smell the whiff of an LLM that already means it's bad writing

To the point of your article, it's definitely won in some niches, such as the raw transmission of information. Many people read for pleasure, though, and it's got a ways to go to before generating content that comes close.
