I think there’s a good chance that Trump’s narcissism will make Musk getting a bunch of attention intolerable and he’ll kick him to the curb. Those two egos can barely fit on the same planet.

Obligatory…

@JoshuaHolland I was also thinking it’s funny that there’s a nonzero chance Trump might revoke Musk’s govt contracts in a fit of sheer pettiness — whereas Harris likely wouldn’t have, just because Dems are generally so committed to not rocking the boat and projecting a “bipartisan” vibe

@JoshuaHolland Trump didn't like Bannon strutting around like the big genius, did he?

We can hope.

However, Musk's investors run Musk, Trump, & Vance. The investors are the glue keeping this marriage from hell glued together.

The 100 Twitter investors own & operate the US federal government now.

On the other hand, both Trump and Musk are beholden to Putin.

@JoshuaHolland I don't think so. First of all, don't forget who is really calling the shots now. Project 2025 needs people like Trump and Musk to do what they do. I think they'll find a way to get him into a position of power. (And we need to stop thinking in terms of laws being legal too. Trump has already shown us that for rich white men law means only as much as they're willing to let it mean.) Musk is perfect to replace Trump when the dementia gets him. They'll find a way.

@JoshuaHolland yep I've been thinking the same. After four years Trump called for his own vice-president to be hung, I suspect with Musk it won't take as much time.

@JoshuaHolland remember how Elmo got infamous for accusing a guy of being a "Pedo guy"? Now he's literally hanging out with a pedo guy and rapist. Not to mention he's a science denier, fraud, and traitor. I'm sure Trump and "rocket man" will be a wonderful team.

@b That “bipartisan vibe” turns out to be stupid and more of an excuse to shirk the fight.

@JoshuaHolland Has anyone yet started a pool for how long it will take for Trump to say something negative about Musk and that he hardly knew the guy?

@JoshuaHolland maybe Trump can send Elon to Mars, on an exploratory mission. It's what Elon deserves at least...

@JoshuaHolland It is apparent from the picks so far that he will only tap those who are even more incompetent than he. Well, if someone starts grabbing more of the limelight, then he or she will have to go. As I saw on another post, Musk is the only one with an outsized ego.
